Get Your Popcorn Ready

The NFL Season is upon us once again.  The preseason kicked off with The Hall of Fame Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys.

The Buffalo Bills Are Ready For 2010!

Our hometown Buffalo Bills will get their chance to show off their 2010 upgrades on Friday August 13th.  The Bills will face off against another team who will look to bounce back, the Washington RedskinsDonovan McNabb and Mike Shanahan will host the game at FedEx Field.

Buffalo hopes to improve this year, and increase their win total.  Last year the Bills finished 6-10, and that final record allowed for a high draft pick.  With the #9 pick in last season’s NFL Draft, the Bills selected Clemson running back C.J. Spiller.  Spiller was the last rookie to sign contract, but he is ready to begin his 2010 season now.

Hopefully with the addition of Spiller, and new coach Chan Gailey, we can set our sights on the playoffs once again.

The New York City fireworks over the East Vill...

A New York Fireworks Display!

There is so much to choose from this weekend when it comes to getting out and celebrating the Fourth of July holiday! And a lot of people who call Buffalo home like to get out and picnic and celebrate all week long. But it’s especially nice when you can do something with family and friends that is FREE and entertaining.

This year there are two great opportunities to get out and celebrate Independence Day:

  • The Friendship Festival – The Canadians will celebrate America’s birthday with you on their side! This annual event consists of free concerts, food, family activities, craft shows, parades, children activities, cultural events, and fireworks.

OR:

  • Take a Historical Cruise – Take a cruise on the Miss Buffalo Cruise Line. This is an opportunity to learn about the rich history in Buffalo’s role as part of the “Gateway to the West.” Reservations for a Miss Buffalo cruise can be made by calling (716)856-6696.

antiquesuitcasesDid you know that airlines are required to compensate travelers for their lost or damaged baggage for up to $3,300? Even better, if you’re traveling with something that is a little more expensive, you can purchase excess valuation coverage to bring the total up to $5,000 and get your more expensive baggage and items covered. Different airlines charge different rates for coverage (on average, each airline charges $1 for every $100 of coverage).

Did you know about excess valuation?
